Castle House Women’s Centre is dedicated to supporting women at every stage of their journey, providing a compassionate, empowering environment.

A Trauma-Informed, Welcoming Space for Women

Based in Cardiff city centre since 2014, Safer Wales Castle House Women’s Centre provides vital co-located services. As a charity we collaborate and support the co-location of agencies to ensure women receive the right support at the right. This includes   the Probation and Prison Service (HMPPS), Substance Use and Health.

From Monday to Friday, we offer wellbeing support, hot meals, and rehabilitative services tailored for vulnerable women.

Our centre is designed as a safe, trauma and psychologically informed, and welcoming environment. We use clear and accessible communication — including pictorial images — to help women easily understand and engage with the activities and services available throughout the week.

Why Choose Castle House?

  • Trauma-informed environment: Safe, warm, and homely spaces that foster comfort and healing.

  • Accessible communication: Clear, friendly information with pictorial support to help women know what to expect.

  • Comprehensive support: From health and wellbeing to practical help like food parcels, showers, and probation support.

  • Strong partnerships: Collaborations with StreetLife, CAVDAS, Dyfodyl, Probation, and more to meet diverse needs.
